Loyola community members wishing to enter the library must show their results from the day's Campus Clear app at the side door. Social distancing and masking protocols apply in all areas of the library, and study spaces can be found throughout the building. Seating has been placed to ensure 6 feet distancing between seats. Please do not move the furniture.

Seating options:

  • Tables with two chairs on floors 1, 2 & 3
  • Individual study carrels on floors 2 & 3
  • Lounge chairs on floors 1, 2 & 3

To keep our library employees safe, the books and DVD collections are staff only. Find out how to request items from the library’s collection.

Study rooms on floors 1 and 2 are currently available for student use on a first come, first served basis. Rooms will remain unlocked. Students must comply with posted room capacity limits of 1-3 people, depending on the size of the room. Cleaning supplies will be available near study rooms on each floor. Users must continue to follow social distancing and mask protocols while in the library.

Media Services reserves several library meeting rooms and classrooms for faculty, staff and student use. You can find information on these rooms and how to reserve them on the Library Meeting & Classrooms' page. For our Room Use Policy, please review the Media Service's Policies page.
