Bio
Adam Beauchamp is the Head of Research and Instruction at the Monroe Library. In this role, Adam leads the library's instruction program; develops and offers research instruction and assignment design to the Loyola community; promotes the integration of information literacy throughout the curricula; and leads and coordinates the library’s Teaching and Learning Team, including the library's liaison program.
Adam has experience providing research support and information literacy instruction to students and faculty across several academic disciplines. He has particular expertise in helping students discover and interpret historical resources in a variety of formats.
In addition to critical pedagogy and information literacy instruction, Adam’s research interests include ethical assessment and research in libraries and the historical relationship of archives and libraries to colonialism. He is currently working on a PhD in history through Florida State University, examining the historical assembly of archives of the Gulf Coast region and their role in sustaining historical memory and narratives of the French and Spanish colonial periods.
