Study Room Soft Reopening and New Library Hours

By Loyola University on Fri, 03/26/2021 - 11:13

Beginning Monday, March 29

Spring has finally sprung after a long COVID winter, and Monroe Library is offering expanded study options and hours.

On Monday, March 29, all of the library’s study rooms will be open for study on a first come, first served basis. We will not be checking out keys from the front desk. Instead, the rooms will be unlocked and students may use them whenever they are empty. Students must comply with posted room capacity limits of 1-3 people, depending on the size of the room. Room numbers and a map of rooms on the second and third floors will be available at the front desk. Of course, we ask that students continue to observe social distancing and wear face coverings. Cleaning supplies will be available near the study rooms on each floor. (Please note that seminar rooms on the mezzanine level will continue to be unavailable at this time.)

Also beginning on Monday, 3/29, the library will be offering new, expanded regular hours:

  • Sunday: noon-midnight
  • Monday-Thursday: 8am-midnight
  • Friday: 8am-5pm
  • Saturday: 11am-5pm

We will have holiday hours for Thursday, 4/1-Sunday, 4/4, with regular hours returning on Monday, 4/5.

We are thrilled to be able to expand our hours and services to meet student needs!
