Bio

Following a career in video production at the University of Pittsburgh, University of Michigan, a Chicago corporation, and Tulane University, Susan happily “jumped the fence” to advance Loyola’s media technology. For 25 years, she kept our portable and classroom equipment on the cutting edge, introducing digital projection, clickers, videoconferencing, and more, teaching thousands of faculty, staff, and students how to use them. She introduced web conferencing in 2011, and negotiated a year of free access to Zoom that began on March 6th, 2020 -- just in time for the pandemic, when live classes moved online. Susan is also a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor, and began teaching yoga to the Loyola community in 2011.
