Bio
Andrew Lau (he/him/his or they/them/their) is the digital collections librarian and archivist at the Monroe Library, working primarily with the Special Collections and Archives and providing library instruction and research support. He brings a passion for working with primary sources and facilitating access to and use of archival collections (digital or otherwise). Andrew has also previously served as an independent archives consultant, an instructional designer, a lecturer of information studies, and as a training and development administrator for continuing and professional education.
Andrew’s professional interests are varied and include documentation practices in contemporary art (especially for performance, event-based, site-specific, and/or participatory works), community archives and memory, archives and postcoloniality, designing and developing accessible digital experiences for museum interpretation, and inclusive design for online learning.
