  • Louis J. Twomey, S.J., Papers. Documents the post-World War II social reform work of the founding director of Loyola's Institute of Human Relations.
  • Joseph H. Fichter, S.J., Papers. Details the life's work of the great Jesuit sociologist.

  • Patrick Samway S.J., Walker Percy Collection. Research materials for Fr. Samway's biography of Percy.
  • Robert Giroux Papers. Correspondence, annotated proof copies, photographs, and other memorabilia of one of America's foremost 20th century literary figures.
  • Lafcadio Hearn Correspondence. Letters to Page Baker, managing editor of the New Orleans Times-Democrat, describing Louisiana, the West Indies, and Japan.
  • H.L. Menken Letters. Letters to Lou Wylie, a New Orleans journalist.
  • New Orleans Review Collection. Archives of the Loyola-based literary magazine.

Visual & Performing Arts

  • Joseph-Aurélien Cornet, F.S.C., Collection. Research materials including field notebooks and more than 20,000 photographs documenting Br. Cornet’s internationally acclaimed work on the artistic traditions of the Congo region
  • Archives of the New Orleans Opera Association. Artist files (including photographs and contracts), programs, financial records, scrapbooks, and educational materials
  • Archives of the Concert Choir of New Orleans. Programs. Scrapbooks, and financial records
  • Stephen Dankner Collection. Manuscript compositions of distinguished composer and Loyola professor
  • Robert Hayne Tarrant Papers. Programs, photographs, and printed material documenting New Orleans cultural activities between the World Wars, from the collection New Orleans impresario Tarrant.
  • Papers of distinguished Loyola alumni including Norman Triegle, Marguerite Piazza, Lorena Dureau, and others.

Public Policy, Public Affairs & Journalism

  • Moon Landrieu Collection. Documents Landrieu’s career as mayor of the City of New Orleans.
  • Janet Mary Riley Papers. Covers the career of Loyola’s distinguished law professor, who crafted much of contemporary Louisiana law regarding property and gender
  • WWL-AM-FM-TV Collection. Documents that history of one of the oldest broadcast operations in the nation, which first aired on radio in 1922 from the Loyola University Department of Physics.
  • Phil Johnson Collection. Contains manuscripts of WWL-TV editorial commentaries, spanning 37 years, and award winning documentary scripts.
  • Nash Roberts Hurricane Papers. Contains hurricane tracking charts and related material from the long career of New Orleans’ renowned television meteorologist
  • Press Club of New Orleans Papers. Includes both written and photographic documentation of the professional association from 1957 to the present.
