Media Services oversees reservations for media equipment. To reserve equipment, please fill out our online equipment request form. All equipment reservations must be made at least two (2) business days prior to using it. We will send you an email confirmation when your request has been processed. Portable equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some equipment may also be checked out from the Learning Commons desk on a walk-in basis. See our Policies and Fines webpage prior to checking out any equipment.
Equipment can be picked up at Media Services or delivered and set up in a classroom or meeting room. Most campus and library classrooms have equipment installed in them. Check the Campus Classrooms and Library Classrooms + Meeting Rooms webpages for details. For events held in the Danna Center, please request equipment from the Office of Co-Curricular Programs.
We have additional equipment, including:
- Digital Media Workstations just outside Media Services provide a variety of software and hardware solutions for scanning, creating or editing digital media.
- Older equipment like VHS decks and slide projectors (Remember those?) Call Media Services at 504-864-7120 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we have what you need.
- “Extended Loan Laptops” available for faculty and staff to use for teaching preparation, business trips, conferences, and work-related projects. These laptops may be checked out for up to two weeks at a time. Laptops must be picked up and returned to Media Services. (Please do not leave files on the hard drive; they will be ERASED.
