Located on the third floor of the Monroe Library, Special Collections and Archives preserves materials related to the history of Louisiana and the South, the Society of Jesus, and Loyola University New Orleans.
Special Collections and Archives is comprised of several different types of materials: the Book Collection, the Archival and Manuscript Collection, and the University Archives. Loyola’s Digital Collections include digitized materials from Special Collections and Archives.
Loyola also houses the Archives for the New Orleans Province, Society of Jesus. A guide to the library's holdings related to Catholicism and the South can be found here.
