Introduction

Media Services is responsible for the audio-visual and presentation equipment in all of the pooled classrooms. The scheduling of these classrooms is handled through the Office of Student Records.

These classrooms fall into two categories: standard and enhanced.

Pooled classrooms are classrooms throughout campus that different departments share. Most pooled classrooms have a television, a combination VCR/DVD player, an overhead projector, and a screen. The VCR/DVD is in a locked box mounted in the room. To access it, you must check out a key from the Circulation Desk at the Monroe Library.

Any other equipment needed in a standard pooled classroom for a class presentation may be borrowed from Media Services for that class period. To request equipment or report a problem with installed equipment, please contact Media Services at 864-7120 or mediasrv@loyno.edu. You can pick up portable classroom equipment or we will deliver it to your classroom.

PLEASE NOTE: Regarding equipment deliveries, Media Services staff cannot leave the equipment in a classroom unless the instructor is there. If the instructor is more than 15 minutes late, the equipment will be removed, and will not be delivered again to that class that day.

Enhanced Pooled Classrooms

Also known as "Presentation Classrooms," Enhanced Classrooms have a presentation system installed. These classrooms, their equipment lists, and links to instructions are listed below.

Keys for the equipment cabinets can be checked out from the library's Circulation Desk. As always, to report a problem with this equipment, please contact Media Services at 864-7120 or mediasrv@loyno.edu.

We suggest that you download the instructions below for the classroom you are teaching in, and take the instructions to the room prior to teaching there. Note that the document camera instructions are downloaded separately. Media Services staff would be happy to meet you in the room to show you how to use the equipment and answer any questions.
