Welcome to Government Documents
Why Use Government Documents?
Documents are: authoritative, accessible, and rich in useful information. The U.S. government is one of the largest publishers in the world. These publications are especially helpful for business, sociology, political science, education, and criminal justice research. Documents also cover science (e.g. National Library of Medicine, NASA documents) and art (e.g. Smithsonian, National Endowment for the Humanities, Library of Congress). In addition, government publications are an amazing sources statistical and demographical information.
The J. Edgar & Louise S. Monroe Library is a designated Federal Depository Library. One of over 1,300 libraries across the nation, we assist Loyola students; faculty and staff as well as the community at large find information by and about the government. Federal Depositories in our area include Loyola Law Library and the Howard-Tilton Memorial Library at Tulane University.
