Loyola’s Old Main Library

Most of the students on campus today, as well as many of the faculty and staff members, have no idea what the old Main Library looked like inside when it was in use. Of course, now it’s under major renovation to become the Tom Benson Jesuit Center. Luckily, we have plenty of vintage photographs from inside the Main Library during it’s heyday in the 1950s and 1960s. Enjoy these great images taken by the university’s photographer, Russ Cresson.
