Blackboard Upgrade and Faculty Workshops

It is upgrade time again. On August 19-20th, our Blackboard system will be unavailable while we upgrade to a more current version. When service is restored, you will notice significant changes to the system, especially from the instructor’s end.

We will be holding Workshops throughout July and August so that Faculty will have a chance to preview the new system and understand the new features and changes. Workshops will be held in the LI classroom on the second floor of the Monroe Library at the following times:

  • Tues, July 13th at 3:30 pm
  • Fri, July 16th at 10 am
  • Tues, July 20th at 4:00 pm
  • Fri, July 23rd at 11:30 am
  • Tues, July 27th at 3:30 pm
  • Fri, July 30th at 10 am
  • Tues, Aug 3rd at 3:30pm
  • Fri, Aug 6th at 10 am

Please note times in bold have changed.

Anyone planning on using Blackboard in the fall for their courses is encouraged to attend.

We will also hold our regular themed Blackboard workshops through the week of Aug 23rd to the 27th. A schedule, including the individual theme for each is forthcoming.
