Ask a Librarian is a service that allows researchers to electronically ask questions they might ask at the reference desk. It is best used for brief, factual questions. You may also use this form to suggest purchases of new reference sources. Questions that require extensive research, consultation and/or instruction are best answered through one-on-one consultation; use this form to schedule an appointment with a reference librarian.
The service is intended primarily for Loyola students, faculty and staff. We are happy to answer inquiries from the general public concerning the library's collections, resources and services as well as general information about the university.
A response will usually be sent within 24-72 hours, except on weekends and holidays.
