Library Visiting Committee


This mission of the Library Visiting Committee is to support the library's central role in advancing teaching and research at Loyola. Members of the Visiting Committee will advise the dean on ways the library can achieve its goals, serve as advocates for the library in the community, and support the library's fund raising programs.


  • Be an active participant in the activites of the committee.
  • Learn about the library, its programs and services.
  • Help the library acquire and maintain information and instructional technology appropriate to its role.
  • Assist in identifying collections of interest to the library, and provide access to individuals, corporations or foundations that may be able to help the library with expertise or financial support.
  • Help promote the library by hosting or arranging events and providing advice to the dean, library faculty, and staff.
